Wake up

She woke up feeling strange, feeling that something was not right. She got up from bed and decided to ignore it and continue with her morning routine. She prepared her coffee and toast. She filled her mug with coffee and put the toast in a small plate. She looked at her breakfast and couldn’t recall when she bought coffee and bread. Wasn’t she trying to start the day with a more healthy breakfast and stopped buying coffee and bread to avoid the temptation? She finished her breakfast and thought maybe she had gotten coffee and bread as a treat for keeping up with the healthy breakfast for so long. She couldn’t remember how long though. She went to the bathroom. She always takes her shower in the morning. While she was undressing she looked at the mirror. She paused. She didn’t remember when she got that haircut. She tried to pull from her memory her last visit to the hairdresser. Nothing. She decided to jump into the shower and see if the memory would come back later.

She was on the bus on her way to work. She looked around and felt as if it was the first time she had ever taken that bus. She thought that was not possible, she has been working in the same place for years, so it was very unlikely she had never taken that bus. Still, she felt a bit uncomfortable. She got to the office and started working. She was working on something very important. So important that needed her full attention. Her neck was getting sore, so she decided to check what time it was. Maybe it was lunch time already and she could have a break from work. She looked for the clock in her computer. It was almost 6pm. She must have been very concentrated and lost the sense of time. She felt proud of how productive the day was.

She got on her bike and started riding back home. Bike? Didn’t she get the bus to go to work today? Or was that yesterday? She was not sure. She was happy to be riding her bike though, it was a beautiful evening, inviting to be outdoors. She stopped to get dinner. She was at her favourite restaurant. She looked at the menu and realised she didn’t know any of the dishes. Maybe they changed the menu. She decided to order the special of the day. As she ate, she thought that the food wasn’t nearly as good as the last time. Could it be that they changed the cook as well?

She was walking by the river. Such a nice evening to be outside. That’s why she dropped off the bus and stopped for dinner and then decided to walk back home. She looked back. She was missing something. Hasn’t she rode her bike to the restaurant? She thought for a second and remembered that she got the bus in the morning so she definitely didn’t ride the bike. She got home and went to the bathroom to have a shower. She always takes her shower in the evening. While she was undressing she looked at the mirror. She paused. She thought that she needed a haircut.

She went to the kitchen and prepared tea. She sat on the couch and turned the TV on. She didn’t feel like watching a film. She wanted to continue watching that TV show. She just couldn’t remember which tv show was that. She looked at the watching list. When did she start watching all those reality TV shows? Maybe someone hacked her account. She finished her tea. She still had that strange feeling from the morning. She thought she’d better go to bed and have some rest. She thought she must be just tired. She lie down in bed and closed her eyes.

She woke up at the same time as every morning. She went to the kitchen and had fruits and cereal for breakfast. She went to the bathroom. She always takes her shower in the morning. While she was undressing she looked at the mirror and then jumped into the shower. She got her bike and rode to the office. She was working on something very important. She didn’t realise the day had passed by and was already time to go home. She got her bike. She stopped at her favourite restaurant and ordered her favourite meal. She thought the food was even better than the last time. She got back home and went to the bathroom to have a shower. She always takes her shower in the evening. She prepared tea and sat on the couch to continue watching that reality show she loves. She finished her tea and went to bed. She lie down in bed and closed her eyes.

She woke up. She had breakfast. She went to the bathroom. She always takes her shower in the morning. She got her bike. She got to the office. She was working on something very important. She was riding back home. She stopped at her favourite restaurant. She ordered her favourite meal. She got home and went to the bathroom. She always takes her shower in the evening. She prepared tea.
